Victorian Corner Chairs

This pair of early Victorian era corner carver chairs were fully restored as part of the Channel 4 series Mend It For Money. The chairs were recovered with high quality, contrasting and complementary, fabric. The insides were filled with high density memory foam, shaped to the base and back. Studded button backs with all panels were finished with an Emerald or Pewter nail decoration,  matching a specific unique colour in the main fabric for each chair, giving the two items.

Full Conservatory Bench Seating Construction and Fitting-The JNKYRD Hamilton

In the first visit of this process we incorporated a thorough measurement of the area requiring new bench seating, determining the measurements that would fit the customised corners and angles of the room.

We then cut, filled and upholstered the pads to the requested specification of the rustic, ‘junkyard’ finish of the pub, in our workshops.

On the 2nd visit we fitted the new bench pads to the original base frame to give a huge improvement in comfort in this Junkyard themed conservatory.

Business Desk Complete Upcycling

We completed work on this business desk for the Synergy Civil Engineering office in Abbey Mill.

Firstly, the black table-top was routed, removing the old inset to a depth of a few mm. We had to strip back, clean and sand the wood, to reveal the old surface, a beautiful frame was hidden underneath.

The wood was stained and lacquered to give a fresh finish, and the new black leather skiver with silver tooling, which we had ordered in for this job, was carefully fitted into the inset.

Cathkin Braes Golf Course Sign

This project involved a complete restoration of the golf signs for the 13th hole signpost at Cathkin Braes Golf Club.

Using a combination of the heat gun, and industrial stripper, along with sanding, we removed the dirt, grime and damage on the outer surface of the wood.

The pieces were then carefully sprayed with 6+ coats of paint specially designed for maximum durability.

We also have a full Youtube video of this restoration here on our channel.
